Hardware and Software Designs

Many years of experience from older systems to current embedded microprocessors for hardware and software. Involved in Arduino developers groups supplying fixes and improvements back to Arduino community see Arduino section.

More recent exeperiences include various ARM based projects and addons for the Raspberry Pi series, for extra functionality and protection. See Rapsberry Pi GPIO Expansion boards for more details.

PCB design and layout for through hole and surface mount electronic assemblies, using inhouse CAD tools (see Eagle libraries), assembly and test of designs using in house equipment and tools. Designs of electronic systems up to 500MHz, and multi-Giga byte specialist links.

Various languages from assembler on various processors through C, Python and database languages to mainly web based PHP and Javascript. Example applications given back to the user communities (see Github and FTDI USB)

Designs have varied from PC or multi-user computer system based to embedded microprocessor systems.
